Two Paintings Selected for Juried Art Exhibit

Two of my watercolour paintings have been selected for the Frederic Remington Art Museum's 2012 Members' Juried Art Exhibit, at the Museum in Ogdensburg, New York. The show will run from 12 May - 16 September 2012. These paintings have never been displayed previously. The art shows sponsored by the Museum are always interesting and of high quality and certainly worth a visit, as is a tour of the Museum itself. Ogdensburg is less than an hour's drive from Ottawa. Solo Show of Abstracts
Dauphin Manitoba 31 May - 12 July 2013
The Watson Art Centre Gallery in Dauphin Manitoba has invited me to put on a solo show of my abstract works. The exhibit will open Friday 31 May 2013. About 25 original paintings will be on display until 12 July 2013. Dauphin and the surrounding area was the environment of my youth and most of my family still reside in the area. Dauphin and the neighbouring towns support an active artistic community. Dauphin provides services to the surrounding region including hospital and healthcare, farm supplies, freight railhead, seniors services and residences, newspaper, radio station and recently a cooperative cinema.
Original Abstracts in Miniature
I have launched a project to create unique original abstracts in miniature. Each miniature will be signed, titled and mounted on complementary 5" x 7" cardstock.
Samples of the work (four original miniatures) can be seen in their own section accessible from the main Gallery page or by clicking here. The 40 miniatures now completed will be displayed their own section soon.
